Engineering a Brighter Future
Since 2001, the Robodox—or the “robot doctors”—have aimed to provide our students with a longstanding foundation in the STEM program and the engineering environment.
The team builds robots, which compete in both VEX Robotics Competitions and FIRST Robotics Competitions. Students are responsible for every step of construction, from designing and manufacturing to coding and CADing. When new members join, students must take their own initiative to learn and communicate.
The team is almost completely student led. With the help of the coaches, the executive board — comprised of Presidents, Public Relations, Operations, Treasury, Events, and Outreach— runs the day to day operations of the team. They work to coordinate competitions, handle purchases, build programs mentoring elementary school students, keep the machine shop safe, and make sure the team has everything they need to perform to the best of their ability.
